Risk assessments
Risk assessments are
carried out on a day-to-day basis to determine which
activities will be available on any given day.
Consideration will be given to weather conditions, instructor
competency, group numbers, competency of the group members, age and
clothing.
The ratios shown in the operating procedures
are shown as the upper limits and it may be appropriate to make the
group size smaller or add another instructor.
The risk assessments are ongoing documents,
which may be revised and updated regularly in order to adapt
to what is found out by accident forms, instructor experience, new
legislation and new guidelines from national governing bodies,
Girlguiding UK, Hampshire County Council and the Adventure
Activities Licensing Authority.
If you would like copies of our risk assessments or have any
further questions, please do not hesitate to contact the team at Foxlease.
